Basic launch control setup
I'm having problems with my launch control setup on my Aircooled bug. It's the most basic setup as I have no wheel speed sensors, so I've just got a micro switch to arm it and that's it. I've definitely seen this basic setup work on a friends drag bug, but I can't get it to work on mine. Hit the swi...

Re: Vw flat four
Have you revisited Paul's fitting instructions? he specifies a gap of 0.015 thou.

A hole like this perhaps? http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy114/bazibbo/5D6EC4C0-29FF-498B-965D-109B0EE8A725_zpscwi8qqbx.jpg It's the rear of the offside manifold, nearly impossible to see without a mirror - guess the blanking plate had decided to come loose. I think I panicked after going agains...

Re: Overly fast idle
I was thinking it was a leak around the dump valve, but that's between the throttlebody and the chargecooler - so all before the throttlebody. I wonder if I've disrupted something http://i783.photobucket.com/albums/yy114/bazibbo/676522F2-6140-45CC-8723-12AAAF8D3843_zpsxghm6bnh.jpg Ok thanks, so as i...

Overly fast idle
Hi Guys I'm stuck with a 3000k idle, and it doesn't want to get any lower  I've just fixed a few things on my loom, after discovering a mixing of sensor and standard ground, as covered in a recent post with your help. I've only just been able to test this new setup and get this all together as ...

Re: Beetle Turbo
So, a few updates... I've gone red! mainly because I was becoming more and more concerned with the swingarm beetles handling, or at least my version of it. So I bit the bulled and took a step towards the VW darkside, and moved my allegiances to the 1302 camp, with its McPherson strut front and 944 r...

Re: My sensor grounds have been wrong for years!
Wow that's an easy and elegant solution Alex
I was stressed, thinking that there would be loads of wires to cut and join, and the paperclip idea is great too - thanks.
Does anyone think that this could have been causing any issues previously?
