Re: Learning to map
The Greg Banish books are OK. (first on Stevie's list). But this one is better that the one Stevie listed. I found it had more "usable" info regarding building VE and ignition tables from scratch. https://www.amazon.com/Designing-Tuning-High-Performance-Injection-Systems/dp/1932494901/ref=...

The E46 M3 uses the larger 210mm unit and they are rebuildable. Contact Dan at Diffsonline (http://diffsonline.com/) and he should be able to help you out.

Re: Logging switch
Stevie's right, it's not about the $, it's about making it less complexe
But that being said I bought a pack of 5 for 1$USD so I should still be OK to feed my family this week
Cheers!

Re: Logging switch
Thanks guys, I'll do the pull-up version now to save the (possible) headaches later. Looks like I need to source the damn little resistor now...
Cheers!

Re: Logging switch
I think you need to add a pull up resistor to 5v for this to work, its shown in the wiring diagram. But as Stevie says you can turn the loging on with wheel speed this frees up this switch for something else should you wish, assuming you have wheel speed. I'm redoing some of my loom which includes ...

Re: Can an S100 work with AiM 3-wire sensors?
If you have a 3 wire 5v sensor than you have to wire all 3 wires as per the manual; 5V, sensor grnd and DTA input. On the S100 5V is pin 9, sensor grnd is pin 19 and the oïl temp and pressure signal inputs are respectively pins 17 and 5. Yes, the pull up is internal. I think Jon K had a spreadsheet ...

Re: VW G60 S/C - USB communication issue
Dell Latitude D600 are great. Dirt cheap (can be had on eBay for anything between 50-100$) and reliable. Now that XP isn't supported anymore (most Dell's of this era will be running XP) they will be more easily attacked so I'd stay off the web or get a generic anti-virus. Both my D600s are to run S ...

Re: BMW E21 - M52/2.8
Wow, great to see your project back on line! That was a nasty fire... :o I run AlphaN (TPS vs RPM) on my S54 and it works very well. No more MAF errors, easier to map, great throttle response, just an all around great solution IMHO. Any good tuner (or even yourself if you've got the skills/time) can...

Re: BMW S54B32 cam timing
VANOS does not alter valve lift, only valve timing. So same lift at idle as at max RPM.
Hope this helps.
