Re: Startline RPM
Doesn't matter how 'long 1st gear is' if the rods are hanging outside the cases! If you want 800 odd rpm more, just lower the overall set point 800 rpm lower! If you have to use limit + 800 rpm then I'd suggest changing the gear or you'll be changing rods - your choice! Besides, at max rpm and beyon...

Re: Connection problem windows 11 S60pro
I needed a new serial cable and different serial software when I upgraded to Win10. Old cable worked fine with XP but not with Win10!

Re: T4 ECU with Plastic Body
Just comparing the printed Firmware #'s and the Serial numbers between the brochure and the OP photo, it maybe that DTA have switched from one style to a completely moulded 'clam shell' type enclosure - cost probably comes into the equation although heat dissipation could be worse if 'all' plastic? ...

Re: T4 ECU with Plastic Body
Semantics Steve - English is the guys 2nd language! Upgrade . . . . as in change from a S60 to a new T4. In answer to the question a new T4 ecu will be billet aluminium - it says so here in the unit info sheet - https://www.dtafast.co.uk/dta_products/t4-ecu/ I believe, as Steve said the S40's were a...

That's been done before - more times than peeps like to admit?David Ferguson wrote: ↑Thu Dec 14, 2023 1:44 pm Perhaps the 12V supply for the injectors you've selected is not powered when cranking, only when the key is in the On/'Running state.

Re: P8 in Fiat Fire, test coils, fuse blows
If you are seeing voltage drops of that magnitude you've something more than DTA tuning to worry about! The starter will pull the system volts down maybe a couple of volts max - say down to10.5v? so either your battery is approaching 'end of life' or you need one with greater capacity?

Re: hall effect sensor
As DTA specify a 5v rail for all sensor feeds, I would assume a 12v sensor would cause issues as the ecu is just looking for 0v - 5v square wave. The 5v rail should be regulated and independent of the 12v power feed that are more likely to be affected during cranking / cold starting.

Using S60 without injectors
May sound strange but I'd like to know - am I likely to damage anything in the ECU if I run it without injectors connected ie. Ignition only use but still datalogging with wideband input? As far as I can see, there is no 'facility' to 'turn off' anything electrically, except either by disconnection ...

Re: S40Pro Firmware 66.03 After Update to newest Version Engine not running....
My S60 was Hardware 2 and firmware v27 ! ! ! and DTA upgraded it to current version in 2022, so old to new is possible BUT the new software can't run on PC's with OS newer than XP (as I found out !) Not saying this is the problem, just pointing out the 'dealer' is incorrect with his statement! Oh an...
