Re: S80 o VR6 turbo

I drilled and tapped the throttle stop and used a small bolt to hold the quadrant open.

Re: Feature Request thread ( make sticky )

In some ways DBW would be nice, but Ive yet to be impressed with any aftermarket DBW setup Ive used so far, although that is only limited to two ecu's And the fact they offered only one map for pedal vs throttle....almost made it seem a complete waste of time other than the fact the car already has...

Re: Feature Request thread ( make sticky )

Quiet year for updates. I hope they're busy making a new range of ECUs with integrated DBW and Haldex control 8-)

Re: anyone using the dta stc control box?

Sounds like you've sorted it now but where did you get the stc from? DTA don't normally sell them to the public without first bench testing your pedal and throttle.

I ran the stc and s80 on my VR6 turbo (4 mo throttle) and also an R32 engine and had no trouble with it at all.

Re: Idle Valve maps (BOSCH)

I never actually checked on my S80, but I don't think it opens the ISV/DBW blade until the crank syncs. With the OEM comptuter, it doesn't wait for a crank signal to engage the idle map, it just holds the ISV/DBW blade open whilst cranking for a much quicker, more consistent start. So yeah, somethin...

Re: Idle Valve maps (BOSCH)

Depends how quickly the engine decelerates. I've often found it helpful to open the valve early (2500ish) with a little fuel and timing (but not so much as the car drives itself with zero throttle) to bring the engine more gracefully down to idle. Opening the valve a couple of hundred rpm above idl...

Re: dta s80 ecu running focus st 2.5 5 cyl engine

That engine should be fine with an S80. DTA also sell a DBW controller. I ran a VW R32 engine with an S80 & DBW controller. Full sequential with COPs, dual VVT & dual wideband. It ran really well. The DBW box is £500 unfortunately, but I wanted to use the engine's factory loom (as it's blood...

Re: V65 version out ...

The A1000 is a good pump. Bloody noisy though!

I ran an 044 for a while and it's also a good pump, but that was also a touch too loud for a road car, even submersed in an external surge tank.

In the end I settled on a Bosch 040 in-tank pump and that's been the best compromise so far.
