Re: MAP Sensor

just a heads up on bosch 4 wire combined temp and pressure, 99% the pin numbers are wrong on cases. so the data sheet will be numbered left to right and the sensor will be numbered right to left! i have wired them the wrong way round more than once!!

Re: Twin-spark misfires under boost - ECU power?

I'm guessing that the ford coil pack is a wasted spark unit? ie the spark travels from one side of the coil to a spark plug through the engine to the other spark plug back to the coil? this is how the wasted spark coils I have used before have worked.... if this is the case having 2 coils firing at ...

Re: Trying to run S40 on twin injectors

correct me if I'm wrong but an s40 has 2 injector outputs? so it can run semi-sequential or twin injector, not both!

what made you think it would make more power? a well set up set of carbs are just as good as EFI on wide open throttle......

Re: HELP... 50mm trigger wheel not working on bike

I have done a fair few bikes, hears what I have learned...... 24-1 is about the best you can hope for (from a DTA ecu), the poll of the sensor needs to be smaller than the gaps, the teeth should be the same size as the gaps. gaps should be at least as deep as they are wide, except the extra gap, tha...

Re: Dual wideband lambda controllers

you could use a spare output from the ecu to pass the 0-5v through to the gauge, filter cap and a pull-up resistor and you should be good to go.

Re: Launch Control on S60 hard to use?

i have never used traction or launch control with DTA, but it strikes me as odd that you would need it in a formula student car, after all you have what 80BHP and 250kg?

Re: DTASwin rewrite

of corse it won't catch everything Stevie, it was just something that was fresh in my mind! and they were good lines, just badly re-routed after a change of filter! this stuff would of corse be easy on a massive car with loads of room to put stuff! :P Alex, that display looks much better than the ol...

Re: DTASwin rewrite

as an addition to that, a fuel pressure trip would be nice, something to detect sudden drops in fuel pressure (like a pipe bursting) and should shut the fuel pump off.

this saved me at Snetterton a few weeks ago!
