Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

Thanks Stevie! It seems like most of the turbocharged bikes here in Sweden runs the GT 1 as a crank trigger. However most of them are using LINK ECU and fewer teeth on the trigger wheel. I was considering using 12-1 wheel to get down the frequency of the signal and I think the resulution will be hav...

Timer based boost control?

Hi, Last weekend I tried my motorbike, a turbo charged Buell 1125 on the dragstrip. I had big difficulties to launch since there is way to much boost off the starting line. I discussed with other people and most of the turbocharged bikes seems to have a timer that starts when they release the clutch...

Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

Now I got it to work up to 8500 (should run to 10500) rpm before it start to misfire. I tried to change the pickup to an Honeywell GT1 but obviously my teeth weren't wide enough to work since I only got one signal per revolution. That would have been from the bigger gap in my 36-2 trigger wheel. Wha...

Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

Also I havent really calibrated the MAP-sensor more than just checked that it corresponded to the voltage in the already populated field given by the DTA. I used a vaccum/pressure hand pump and confirmed the readings were in line with the pressure gauge in the main menu and everything looked OK. Thi...

Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

I will make some changes accordingly to the suggestions and come back with new logs. Regarding boost, I will run maximum 1.5 Bar and fuel is E85, fuel pressure 3 Bar. Regarding the MAP sensor I obviously change the setting from GM3 bar to GM 4 bar sensor of some reason?? I use the GM 3 bar sensor an...

Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

Rob, I have a FPR taking the signal between the TB's and the inlet valves. Please explain why this wouldn't work since I really don't get this? The FPR corrects for the delta pressure between fuel and manifold as far as I understand? When it comes to the filtering function I was not aware of it is a...

Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

Hi and thanks for your inputs. Just to clarify, this is a turbocharged engine and the MAP-signal is taken from the plenum before the throttle bodies. And yes there are two rather big throttle bodies on this engine. Without boost I'm only using the MAP-sensor as pressure compensation for changes in b...

Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

OK, a new log with the MAP corrections set to 0. Still some problems but slightly better running.

Re: Crank & cam sensor Buell 1125

ANother log without the plenum connected to the throttle bodies. Still have the MAP sensor but the MAP sensor is connected to the plenum and shouldn't affect anything. The bike still runs really bad in the midrange and the rpm plot looks very strange too me? Thanks Peter Oops, looked at the log an i...
