Hello, I'm building a Opel Commodore for local "roadsport" class. Rules are pretty open for this class. Main thing is that we are playing with hp/weight ratio. Engine rules are also fairly open, amount of cylinders have to be homologated, so I have to go with 6cyl. engine. In suspension biggest rule is that you cannot make McPhersson to double A-arm suspension and vice versa, rear axle is free. Transaxle is restricted unles it is original.
So, here is my version of my racecar.
Engine:
-BMW M20
-DTA S80 ecu
-Autoverdi drysump
-AIM dash
Transmission
-Getrag 265 from BMW e30 M3
-modded to dogbox with new middle case
Suspension
-Front = Honda S2000 knuckles, Alcon brakes, homemade wishbones.
-Rear = Mazda RX-7 axle with torsen and 4.88 final gear
-2-way adjustable Öhlins shocks
Brakes
-Alcon 4-pot calibers all around
-Tilton pedalbox
Chassis
-Homemade "widebody" kit
-all bodypanels is classfibre

I'm more into bikes than cars but the work you've done on this is bloody awsome.
From the rocking of the cradle to the rolling of the hearse
The going up is worth the coming down.

They most certainly areJon K wrote:Wow. Ohlins are NICE. Very cool!
I would love a workshop like that too! Which got me thinking acutally. How many people on here are private users versus race teams / shops?
