would love to make some gopro footage like that going down the track.
thanks for the info
Hi Nem
What I have done, was I captured footage from my phone, pulled the logs out of my S60 and used a piece of software called racerender and I get an output of this
If you do go this route, just remember the logs come out backwards so you will need to import them into excel and use a calculation to reverse the logs, so the last log is the first log.
To create video like my go pro version you need a video camera and the following :-
ECU interface - http://www.race-technology.com/serial_i ... _7535.html
Something to record the data onto - http://www.race-technology.com/dl1_2_27.html
And if you want to automatically synchronize the data and video - http://www.race-technology.com/video_sy ... 30679.html however this can be done manually back at home.
All of this adds up to a lot of money is you only want to create a video, I use the data and the video is extra icing.
They do their own video recorder, you still need the ecu interface to read the data into the video recorder but this then creates the video directly on to the flash card as you drive, no computer required. - http://www.race-technology.com/video4_2_7539.html - expensive but up to 4 cameras can be used I think.
I think the Bollah way could be very cheap but a little limited and hard to synchronize.
