here with the Automatic bellhousing attached (I need to get it cleaned properly)

I've just started to look at the relative lengths for the positioning of the gear lever, looks like it can go in more or less the standard tunnel hole position but on an angle. The gearbox is 100mm longer overall so I'll need a shorter propshaft than originally. It has a BMW/Volvo rear output flange. The linkage has a quadrant that has to be positioned in front of the gear lever and above the linkage arm on the gearbox, this turns the direction through 90 degrees.

It's a Tractive RD906 6 speed sequential from Sweden http://www.tractive.se/products/rwd-seq ... rboxes__11

Yes, it's an Automatic bell housing from a 325 or 525

The clutch is an F1 racing paddle plate & Sachs cover from USA including a nice billet steel flywheel. I am looking at sorting a concentric hydraulic release bearing, I have one on order that might be suitable form a 1995 Ford Scorpio 2.5Diesel. Should get that today.meanwhile I need to do a dummy fit and make the crossmember and fit the gear lever etc.

Yes, it comes with a Volvo 96mm pcd adaptor that has the spigot part.

Glad to meet someone else using DTA with an M3 engine. I thought about a compact, but preferred the look of the coupe, and there is little difference in length.

I am nearing the end of building an E36 M3 rally car. List of jobs is still in double figures, but not by much.

Anyway, I now need to buy the ECU, which is an S80 I know. The wiring is all sorted for it (Hopefully). As I understand the S80 comes with a base map.

Who do you know who can map the ECU when it is all together and has experience of the M3 engine ?

I am using a Tractive 5 speed sequential behind my RB26DETT Nissan engine in a RWD Skyline track car. It's been the best purchase I have made in years, a joy to use and totally trouble free. I write this just to mention that where the fulcrum for the Tractive gear lever to gearbox gear position lever is mounted needs to be STRONG. I double skinned the top of the transmission tunnel sheet metal and after a year the metal cracked. I have made a big heavy gauge spreader plate, the loadings are quite high, and it was a PITA to alter things without setting the interior alight ;) Good luck with it, I am planning to add a paddle shifter to mine in the future.
