Mk1 Golf Gti, 2.0 16V ABF, Jenvey DTH ITB's.

Post by murph81 »

Heres my 83 lhd Mk1 Golf Gti, originally 1600 8v, I have now fitted an ABF engine out of a Seat Ibiza Gti with Jenvey direct to head throttle bodies and a mk2 Golf 16V gearbox with a Quaiffe lsd.

I've picked up a lot of tips and info from this site, so I might aswell throw up a thread about my project.

I am in the middle of upgrading the ecu from an E48 to an S40, hopefully I'll have it running soon, can't wait to get it running, mapped and have a good blast in it!

looks pretty sweet!
I've always had a soft spot for the early golfs and that engine is a right peach! Where are you based? hopefully we'll be able to put you in touch with some good tuners locally!

Cheers Dan, I'm in County Cork in Ireland.

Its a Powersprint manifold and system Bill, from the same factory as Supersprint afaik.

Its quality stuff in fairness!
