Post by Frallan »

This is what I will use my S60 for right now.
Old dragster being renovated and built slightly diffrent from the way it was years ago.
Nostalgic racing and no record target. Just for fun.
1985 cc with 400 bhp target
Autorotor
Large water-air icebox intercooler
Methanol
VW bus automatic gearbox from Dave Folts USA

Ready to take to the strip May 2014.

Hi BB,

It takes some time to know who you are on all the different forums we fraternise.
:-)
Help from you (and this excellent forum) will be appreciated when time comes.

I am having a lot of fun just with my portable simulator test bench I am setting up.
Pressures, temp and lambda (LM1 hooked up) pretty much fixed.
Trigger wheel connected to a variable speed motor ongoing.
Both hall and magnetic sensors will be tested, just because I have both.

Looks like shit right now but.....
Professional wire loom in the making....nostalgia for me as I started my working career building looms for small three seaters Swedish airplanes. (Saab Aerospace 1975, I just had to add that. That is also why we built a light weight dragster).
Just finding and buying waxed lacing thread and finding it in black color was a kick for me. I had only worked with white in the past.
I am now acting much older than I am....remembering fun stuff.
We competed in best looking wire loom. Symmetry, perfect soldering, right length shrink tube and absolutely given that the Quality test control did not have any solder complaint and did not find any negative "pling" when testing....stop, enough now!
