anyone any ideas on what start fueling map settings i should use?

currently using temp columns up to 40 C and turns up to 250

the fueling goes from 150 down to 10

sometimes it will fire straight up, sometimes it floods and wont start for ages

If it's flooding....less fuel !

As I repeat every time.

Make the car start easily when warm every time, numbers will be pretty low or zero then.

And after that you need to work backwards adding fuel when cold. Dont start rich and work towards lean or you'll drown the plugs and never get it started and not know why.

As Steve says make sure your engine has a bomb proof hot idle and hot starting before you look at the cold starting. DTA recommend not using water (or whatever sensor you have) temp compensations / enrichment but just rely on the start fueling map. Also have a look at the 'injector start pulse' in general engine settings, again make this as small as you can to ensure good hot starting before looking at the cold. 150% does sound like a lot of extra fuel, certainly won't need that at 40deg

The 150 is at 1deg for 10 turns then it drops to 100 the 75 then 50

Drop em all lower and work upwards.

Thinking about it though, 10 turns at cranking speed could easily be 3 seconds. An initial hit of fuel in the first 2-3 turns would be useful, but after that it would need nowhere near as much.

It is just trial and error though, but always start with too little fuel, at least then you know if it doesnt start, it isnt because you have flooded it.

got back to basics, fitted new starter to crank engine faster, started up once it had a pump of throttle

i tried taking all the fuel compensation out for 20 deg c and above and it wouldnt start, put the old map back, started up
