Renault Clio 1.6 SC "Blue Shed"

Post by 86sixsix »

(Please do not hard-link or simply rip the images - *some* of them are copyright Renault U.K. Limited... they may also move or change... only link to this thread...)

This is my daily driver... she's good for a minute and half at Oulton Park's International circuit in Cheshire, UK and returns 38mpg nipping to Sainsbury's for the weekly shop in city centre traffic. I've put a few pictures on here (further down (click them to enlarge them!)) but most of the best pictures, media and information's to be found on my Facebook so feel free to get in touch. All my other stuff's got dull-as-f**k sealed factory RenaultSport computers inside - this is my only 'aftermarket' racer and my one true love!

Basic Specifications:

1992 Renault Clio 1.8 16v bodyshell
Williams track width
1.6 8v K7M 702
Rotrex C30-74
DTA S40
Supersprint 4-1 manifold
Janspeed 100cpi cat
Stainless all the way back silenced to 68db at 3/4 of max revs
Gaz 'gold' coilovers
Tar-Ox braking surfaces
TSW wheels
Toyo intermediate rubber
Cobra seating*
Ridiculously large, heavy and ****ing loud speaker system*
Crazy disco-dance lighting*
'S-Dash v2' digital dashboard (designed and built by MarcoV6T on here)
Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser and tracking system as well as the factory security

There's loads more... too much to list!

*I think i'm the only person to set a decent competetive lap time with 100kg's of in car entertainment in the boot and a full leather interior!

How do you like the Gaz Golds? Had a set of those on my Corrado and they were very nice indeed.

they're not too bad for the price (i only get 2 coilies and 2 dampers for mine and a lot of manufacturer's take the p*ss pricing them up as if they were 4 full units). rebound's really good but i find bump a bit poor unless you're really moving. i may've just twiddled my knob wrong there, though

I think you forgot to mention the 0-60 and 0-120 times, for which I was really really impressed. :)
