I need some help
Does anybody know for caldina motor the sensor position and running on sequential mode I need the injection angle and cam sensor position? And using the stock coils do I have to activate the external coil amps function?
Think so that stock coils have internal ignitor. ..
Using s80
Thanks

Re: toyota caldina gt4 some help
Caldina ?
Old GT4 Celica had a single coil and dizzy ? Is it the same ?
Are you using the OEM dizzy trigger ? I think these use a 12+1 in the dizzy ?
Almost sure that single coil has an ignitor built in...ie check external coil amps.
So 24 full teeth for a crank cycle/720 and a single tooth for reference which in that case is important.
Can you do a scope trace with the plug in cylinder 1 the only one in the engine ?
ie so you can see the crank and cam teeth with reference to cyl 1 compression and get a rough ID of where the reference tooth occurs

In DTASwin, menu "Display and Test Functions" use "Crankshaft Oscilloscope"
This will give you a screen shot of the crank/cam signal which you can save as a jpeg file and post up here.

If you do this, you should have a repetative hump in the yellow signal lines to show cylinder 1 compressions. Your picture looks like it does not have any plugs in at all.stevieturbo wrote:Caldina ?

Re: toyota caldina gt4 some help
That looks like a 36-2 trigger wheel ? So are you using a standard Toyota trigger or have you fitted the 36-2 ?
It is seeing a dizzy/phase tooth 8 teeth after each TDC, or it could be seen as 64 teeth before TDC
Crank it over and look in diagnostic screen and it will tell you this cam angle to use for the phase sensor ( ie sequential injection )
YOU will still need to determine crank reference angle as that scope trace is with all plugs removed.

im using the standard magnetic trigger

ok i will crank iy again...

yes i you are right i dont know how but i forgot it
