Pretty sure if you google there are various circuit boards available and not too expensive.. WIll require some wiring though.

The encased one looks interesting, has anyone real world, in (high vibration) race car experience of these cheaper accelerometers? Is there a big difference in performance or reliability between the cheaper ones and the 300 UK pounds plus stuff from ECU makers? If it doesn't work properly it's no longer cheap Thanks for the links.

You often find the expensive UK versions. Are just the cheap non-UK versions in different packaging or sold as a finished product.
Given the multitude of them available cheaply, I cant imagine the expensive potted up versions being much different

They simply output a voltage. Not sure on exact range, but it will be within the 0-5v as usual.
Although for all 3 axis, it will require 3 analogue channels
