Peugeot 206 1.8 Turbo Project

Post by nick_f »

Hello,
I'm happy to be in this community,
I'm new in Dta tuning and this is my first attempt to tune S80Pro.
Base Map is for 17psi boost.

Peugeot 206 1.8 Stroke 16v 9:1 Cr
Precision6262 Turbo @ 17Psi Boost
TIAL 44mm WG 190kpa Spring
3.5" Exhaust
650cc @ 70Psi
99 Ron
Bosch 4Bar MAP sensor.
Full details of the engine will post in the project topic with images, pictures, etc.

The car runs very well until 17psi boost, and have good idle and start.

Rgs.
Nikos

Hi does the map go above 17psi?
Will it work on an S60 ecu?
I had a quick look at it - you're reving to over 9000rpm is that right?

One thing I don't understand; you use MAP as main load, but are using the barometric pressure compensation map, that makes no sense to me.

Zero all the compensations in that map, and interpolate the numbers in your main fuel map, then check(dyno) if the AF numbers are still ok.

In some ways, Motec does the same thing. Wouldnt be my preferred way, but it does still work. It just makes the fuel map much flatter, and again, the numbers in the map dont have an easy reference to injection pulse.

Which is the biggest reason to stick with normal methods.

Sure it will work, but it's pointless, multiplying(compensating) a value with a value you already calculated. It's like multiplying a value by two and then divide it by two, it will work also, but it's still pointless.

It would make more sense if the main map was TPS, still not the best for FI, but it makes more sense(when using a 2D comp map, or the other way around, using MAP as main and TPS as compensation).

Nikos, another thing to consider, are you planning to boost the engine +3Bar? If not, change your main map values(even if the sensor goes higher) to the highest pressure you'll reach, + some safety margin, and set your 'turbo over pressure' below that.

Doing so, you'll have more resolution in your map.

Hi Nikos!
It seems you'll be needing bigger fuel injectors quite soon!
Keep on!

What's up with the 32 kPA / 1447 RPM area? The timing just goes to 0 deg. You've also got 0 deg advance between 0 - 32 kPA at everything over 4200 RPM which means 0 deg advance during over run. Kind of strange?

thanks to all

All comments are correct, this project is old now.

the car now works with new ignition from msd, water mathanol injection kit at 42psi t boost. The biggest and most difficult thing now is the traction and work in this direction.

@MarcoV6T Thanks for the advice.
