Post by mikethefox »

Hi
Does anybody have the volt to afr parameters for LC-1. I am gonna use it in P8 Pro ( 8 - 16 AFR )

Thanks

Hi Plamen
Thanks for the numbers, but in P8 Pro you cant go under 8 and over 16 AFR

Just dont fill those in then, the full range is available from the LC1 software, its a straight line any way. I have the P8 and same LC1 and I might have changed the LC1 to read 8 to 16 any way, I'll go and check.

Given both the LC-1 and P8 are totally flexible with their input/output voltages, what exactly is the issue ?

Program the LC-1 to the voltage/AFR outputs YOU want. Confirm these voltages are accurately reflected on the P8 by flatlining the LC-1 output

Then when you are happy the voltages compare, then create your own scaling. IMO it's totally pointless reading anything below 9 AFR as you should never be there ( with petrol )
Again much over 16 is a bit pointless.

Use the widest voltage range for the narrowest AFR range you can. This will offer the best accuracy.

Why on earth do people blindly insist on trying to use some preset scale without even confirming it's accuracy ?

MAKE YOUR OWN !

Agreed - I see guys running like 0v = 7.35 AFR and 5v = 22 AFR.

I haven't once cared about running 7.35:1 afr, or 22 afr. NGX AFX runs 0v = 9:1 and 5v = 16:1. Seems to be more useful.

or worse as some of the cheapy gauges do...

1v = 10AFR and 2v = 20AFR !
