It would be a hell of a lot easier and safer just to make your own map, than try and use someone elses map when you give virtually no useful information in order to get one that might be usable.

I agree. As painful as it can be to set up the crank angles and stuff, at least you know it is correct. And you learn a bunch of stuff while setting it up which is never a bad thing.

i guess used a chip in a std ecu.
once wired up the ecu will give you an idea of where the crank angle is, it has a function in it to tell you. simple.
there are a few maps with the ecu software, im sure there is something in there to get a base set of fuel and ignition numbers.

I dont believe DTA will work with the factory cossie triggers ( ie 4 tooth crank, 2 tooth cam )
He doesnt state what map sensor, what injectors, crank trigger, what coolant or air temp sensors...or really, anything that might be remotely useful for acquiring another map.

It is not the first start I've run with gt3071r 8/1 comp 630cc switched to 1000cc 7.4 / 1 comp gt3582r turbo ,when I ran st ECU was just buying new chip when I swapped turbo

Can you please speak english or at least explain properly ?Rs2000 wrote:It is not the first start I've run with gt3071r 8/1 comp 630cc switched to 1000cc 7.4 / 1 comp gt3582r turbo ,when I ran st ECU was just buying new chip when I swapped turbo
What isnt a first start ? So you already have the engine running with a DTA ecu ?
That's silly low compression....real 70's and 80's style.
What is an "st ECU" ?
So are you still running the original ecu or not ?
Re: Map wanted for cosworth yb 7,4/1 comp gt3582r turbo
sorry my english, I've run with dta s60 ecu for 6 years, std ECU is Engine Control Unit - Standard (ECU)cosworth yb,What do you know about compression for cosworth yb ?
