Re: Audi 5 cyl 20vt map
Hi, I run a similar setup in my Audi S2 rally car. Did you get your mapping sorted?
Are you prepared to share it with me too?
Thanks

Re: Audi 5 cyl 20vt map
I run an ABY I5 with 7A cams and gt35r turbo, I'll try uploading my ignition map tonight.
IIRC my max timing at 2 bar boost is around 18 deg, and it didn't like 95 ron fuel!

And your running standard heat range spark plugs! You'll need something colder than them.

That post is from 2013....
Re: Audi 5 cyl 20vt map
Yes the post may be old but when you have a 5 cylinder Audi, people using 3rd party ECUs successfully are few and far between. To start with a running map and adjusting it is better than spending days configuring the basics.
Before investing I want to know peoples experience of using DTA ECUs (S80) and how good they are.
Here for some advice and help before buying.
Thanks

I noticed that it was from 2013 after I posted.
Anyway Pembo, one of the dta s80's or s100's will run your engine fine. The only considerations you'll have to make is crank signal, either get a trigger wheel fitted to the front pulley of the engine or get some extra pins machined into the flywheel. There is also a crank seal housing that doubles as a 60-2 trigger wheel that will fit on our i5 engines and would be a good solution, i think it was mentioned on a thread on this forum before.
