New Staff Introduction

Post by DTA Gareth »

Greetings all!

My name is Gareth and I have just started working for Alex at DTA.
General aim is for me to help day to day giving Alex more time for development and maybe get to do some too.

I have come from an apprenticeship at Rolls-Royce in Derby doing everything from welding to calibration.

As regards motors however I am slightly different to most of you. I drive an entirely mechanical Diesel Land Rover at Off-Road competitions. not ideal for putting DTA products in  (photos below)

obviously I am still learning the products and exactly how they work (nothing like diesels) so bear with me and my input will get more useful as the weeks go on

looking forward to helping you out where I can

It's okay, you can practice by dropping an LS7 in there and sticking it on an S80, they fit just fine ;)

ha, that would be amazing.

though sadly the best i think i can have in it would be a Rover EFI v8 else i would no longer be allowed to compete.
only engines that were used in the vehicle during its production run can be used.

Less than a year and you'll have a Rover V8 in it, I bet haha!

Get him sorted out Alex, he's got a mechanical diesel in there, you should dock his pay until it's on real fuel and computer whizzery ;)

i'd need a pay increace to run a rover v8 day to day. people i know running those engines get an average 8mpg compared to the still slightly questionable 25mpg on diesel
pluss running under water :D

You'll get at least 4-5mpg on a Safari, it's fine.
