Not entirely sure why they junked the original 2.7 biturbo V6 in favour of an inferior engine (in terms of flow) but it clearly does the job!!
Quite good guys those. Made their own adapter plate to mate the VR6 engine longitudinally to the Audi transmission.

Yeah probably. The Americans have been turboing VR6s for years and the parts are readily available. So probably took the 'better the devil you know' route

4wd is a big help though, but it's still a fantastic achievement, and quite unusual. Would still prefer to see a 5cyl in there though, they sound awesome
