DTA Bracket

so im a sheet metal worker. i wanted a bracket for my dta to sit on as there are no lugs or anything on them!
bit of a rough start i made this today..
fits pretty well considering.

I used heavy duty Velcro lol It's great stuff !
Although did weld a couple of bits of flat bar to stick it to.

yeah i used to do velcro and some numberplate sicky pads, both good.

I have jus used 3M Dual-Lock, however I have an application where I also put a big cable-tie right around it also - where your bracket would be great. What are the rubber strips from?

i believe they are motorcycle battery straps. got them from ebay.

Mine is more basic, I think. Works for me though!
Did you use a cnc plasma to cut yours out? How'd your brake it? I like it a lot! Mine has a like 4x6 silicone pad that goes between the metal bracket (powder coated) and the ECU that takes up the slight gap.

Access is nice though, no doubt. And... I bet its tough to actually knee-bang it given the space the passenger has there.

The factory DME is pretty small and fits in a proprietary space. The DTA was much too long to fit in there when I was doing the wiring. I got the new S80 thats smaller, but it too is too large since the connectors stick out the end. In the end, I use the DME location underhood for my aquamist hfs6 controller, traction control adapter boards, fuse/relay panel, and innovate motorsports EGT loggers.
You can't see, let alone hit, the ECU so no worries.
It looks like its obviously out in the open but it's not. I'd have to take another image to show.
