A proper scope trace would be interesting. Or an actual pic of the tooth setup ?

Ok so something must have changed in the wiring loom if it worked before on the P8Pro, ie is the crank wire shielded and connected at the ECU end. I keep thinking it must be a ground issue they can cause all sorts o problems when not done correctly.

Hi Tony shielded wire too crank sensor earth from shield to ecu , i have photos of crank trigger and sensor but you can't see much , the loom has been back too Sandy Brown he did find i was missing an earth which he corrected and checked all othet pins so loom should be spot on . But still know different

The only problem I ever had during the transition, was that of the S80's case not being earthed, although I believe he did rectify this or add an earthing option with later models, as mine was one of the first.

it didnt affect starting though, but it did create some strange and random running issues.

That's been fairly well covered since, so would presume most do now earth their casing so unlikely to be the problem here.

Yes Stevie I did that job on all of the early Metal cased S series ECU's, that is why I knew of the problem and heard of all the users issues. I am sure Sandy has sorted the loom correctly. Something really strange has happened lets hope it is sorted soon, as we know wiring is usually at fault will be interesting to hear what the problem is though.

Its probably not easy to try but would moving from a 36-1 to a 36-2 do it? But thats an engine out job Im sure. I think Alex need to supply the bug fix?

Just to say thank you to all that helped, car is now running and all mapped, Sandy Brown
did amazing job sounds the nuts ( scary figures ) not hp was looking for but could be spinning on the rollers but the torque off the scale 480 @3500 and climbing
