Zetec base map location

Post by Astrasteve »

Hi all
I have an e48 ecu and I'm currently trying to find a Zetec base map to load in to get the engine up and running
I've used the search function and have read that the software contains 3 x Zetec files but i can't find them.
Could somebody please direct me
Thankyou for any reply
Steve

RTFM - Read the manual! :)
As you are using older software DTAwin I don't think the later is compatible, but you should be able to copy the settings over by hand from DTASwin

in dtaswin Go to File/Open(upload from disc) and you will see a file structure with 3 Zetec maps,
Single click on file name will tell you more about the detail.
Double click will load that file into the offline pc for you to view.

What does RTFM mean?
If I can't see them in the map folder with all the others why would the Manual help me!
Thanks for you reply I will read the manual and hope they appear lol
Thanks

You would probably need to copy them over from SWin, if I open DTAWin on my computer there are no Zetec files....ecu probably just too old for that to have been included

Yes the DTAWin is too old and doesn't have the Zetec map in it but you can load a map into the E48 from SWin

yeah, its quite easy, file manager and drop your chosen file from the new dtaswin to your old version folders.
