Transition from cranking

Post by rjwooll »

Is the only difference between 'normal' and 'cranking' mode the use of 'Firing tooth on startup' to control ignition timing in the cranking phase? I can't find any other settings or parameters.

Thanks, Richard

And coil on time when cranking.

I just checked the software and there seems to be only one 'coil on time' parameter (in General Engine Settings) which seems to be a general parameter, not specific to cranking.

I'm not thinking of changing it by the way - the documentation says it is specific to the coil fitted.

I think it's 'number of teeth coils on when cranking' - it just makes things more reliable if cranking a lumpy motor.
