Porsche 944 S2 3 litre N/A engine info

Post by mefmotorsport »

A customer is looking to run his Porsche 944 3 litre 4 cylinder N/A 16V engine on DTA, I'm trying to find out crank trigger info, he thinks its on the rear of the flywheel, can anyone confirm and what the pattern is etc?

Thanks,

Martin

944 doesn't have a compatible crank trigger pattern, it's on the flywheel, with a lot of teeth.

OK, thanks, that answers my question! looks like another external trigger wheel conversion required then.

I'll pass that on to him,

cheers

some googling ?

Could probably machine half the teeth off ? But I'm guessing that's even more work than throwing a normal wheel up front lol
