Basic launch control setup

Post by bazibbo »

I'm having problems with my launch control setup on my Aircooled bug.

It's the most basic setup as I have no wheel speed sensors, so I've just got a micro switch to arm it and that's it.

I've definitely seen this basic setup work on a friends drag bug, but I can't get it to work on mine. Hit the switch and the gear change light flashes. Plant my foot down, whilst holding it on the handbreak and clutch and it does as expected, but then it never seems to let the revs raise after I've set off and continues to pop and fart up the road...

Any ideas? Can it actually be done?

Here's the basic settings

You need to set the Limit RPM When Button Pressed Only option to on to achieve what you want.

Launch Control by Elapsed Time is another option if you have no wheel speed sensor.
