Vauxhall C20NE

Post by Jonnyt80 »

Hi all
this is my first post here so please be gentle
The car is an old Mini Clubman Estate/van with a C20NE vauxhall engine fitted to it. the owner originally had an SRi 130 engine fitted but that was removed due to an issue.
He is now looking at more power and is looking at options which includes Bike throttle bodies coupled with a decent cam and an S40 or S60 ecu.
im pretty sure the vauxhalls run a 60-2 trigger wheel.
is there any bases available for this engine purely as a start up?
any other input is welcome
thanks

We do have a 2.0 litre vaux XE map.
Not sure if there are many differences between the NE and XE but its a place to start.

and obviously, its a start map so use with caution.

The big difference is that the NE has an 8 valve cylinderhead, the XE is a 16 valve.

Crank trigger is the same 60-2. All settings must be checked of course.

I'll stow that away for future reference, but it should be something as a starting point

let us know how you get on

Yeah i knew about the XE and NE as iv had both previously. This should go rather well in the clubman.although I'd like to have put an XE in it the owner likes to have a little more workspace

Yes the map Gareth advises will start your engine alternatively use the DTA Zetec map and change from 36-1 to 60-2 it never fails to get an engine going.
