Rover K Series 1.8 VVC DTA S60

Post by AlexC »

Hello,

I'm looking for some help trying to start the engine of my Clubman's car, which uses the Rover K Series 1.8 VVC engine to K06a (DVA power) engine specification and a DTA S60 ecu. It uses a smaller flywheel to fit within the bellhousing, I believe its from the 1400 engine which is 36/4.

It will be going to the rolling road soon, but would like to run it in the workshop prior to taking it there, however can't achieve this.

If anyone can help guide me through the set up process i would be most gratful, have tried going through the user guides sent via DTA but to no avail.

Thank you,
Alex

1. Do the injectors and coils fire when in test mode?
2. When cracking does the term 'synchronised' appear in green in the diagnostics screen?

These are the first things to check assuming you have already loaded the vvc map and followed the wiring diagram.

3. Does the engine retain the VVC system?
