Help getting started

Spent some time this afternoon trying to get my car started for the first time. Now go easy on me, this is the first time I've ever done this.

The car is a Starlet GT Turbo, I'm using standard triggering which is a 24/1 trigger setup housed inside the standard distributor. I am then using Toyota (Denso) COP.

I am getting fuel, and have tested each coil to check for spark. I have checked and double checked the wiring for each coil and injector, I'm sure they're right.

I am using a base map which a member on here shared with me, I've made changes to sensors and obviously enabled coil for each plug.

Here's what the scope looks like.

The scope didn't report it matched with anything, or tell me what type of trigger setup it was detecting.

Here's the engine diag screen

Here's a video of real time info when cranking

Let me know if you'd need more info from me, I can do or get whatever might help.

Many Thanks

The ECU is syncing as you have RPM. It's under 200 RPM though.
Battery sounds like it's struggling. Try a booster.

Hi Tim
You say the trigger is in the distributor and a 24/1 will this work? are you saying this is 24 teeth with no gaps plus a cam sensor?

Thanks Alex, will give that a try. The car has sat for a while now, so it wouldn't be a surprise if it's kaput.

That's correct.

Ok I've looked at your old posts on this, I remember it now.
Is it sparking at all whilst cranking? It's going to be imperative that you get the cam sensor position correct in the software, and that the cam sensor gives a good signal.
From the scope test you are getting the cam signal, so I suspect you just need to adjust the position in the software if it is sparking. You could try taking one plug out so you can see on the scope where the sensor is in relation to cylinder 1.
On the sample honda map twin spark is active, not sure if that would do it?

Checking spark whilst cranking was something I didn't try, I can do that the next time I'm at the car.

On the scope, should the ecu not be indicating the presence of a missing tooth ? Or is there no missing tooth or teeth ?

And fuel pulse on real time during cranking....40.0ms sounds pretty huge and could easily flood ?

Perhaps my terminology of 24/1 is incorrect.

There isn't a missing tooth.

The amount of fuel has also been pointed out by a friend. I've made some changes to hopefully lower that and I'm going to try that tonight before sticking the battery on charge.

This engine uses a cam mounted trigger system. Two outputs.
1 has 24 teeth per cam revolution, so 12 teeth per crank revolution.
2 has a single home pulse.

40ms is the max the ECU will allow, so check the compensations.
