Flat shift and paddle shift

Can you have flat shift and the paddle shift working at the same time ie if I use gear lever with flat shift or I decide to use the paddle ?

so a flat shift switch will still work even if it is also the paddle up? input so both systems work?

No, you must use the gear position pot to initiate the cut.
