New ECU Series

Post by katana »

Whilst I knew there was a new series of ECU's in the wings I didn't realise they had been released and the the S series were listed as discontinued until I looked on the DTA product pages - so why continue listing them with info? It's a bit confusing. Have to admit I like the on-board WB controller function as it saves a bit of cash - anyone used one? Is the user interface & software same / better / worse?

We've left them there for people to see the features if buying second hand.

The onboard lambda tracks a very expensive lab grade controller, so I'm happy with that.

The new software isn't ready yet, just finishing it up, and then it will be available. I'll post a link on the forum when it's ready.

Hi Alex,

I've seen several shops now offering the new T-line of ecu's, so does that mean the software is ready or are the shops just being opportune?

Also: do the new ecu's come with the main sockets and pins for it in the box?

Thanks,
Walter

Software is ready now, but rolling out slowly. Anyone interested in using it, email us.
Price is for the ECU only, we sell connectors, or loom kits, or complete engine looms. We have Ben in house who is our dedicated wiring guy now, he's been with us just over a year. He must be doing good work, as we're booked up until the middle of January at least, and this is supposed to be the quiet period!

Hi Alex.
I'm building the loom for the T8 that we are fitting to a 3.2 Carrera Porsche 911
with Jenvey Heritage intake. I have a map for this engine configuration but using
an S80 Pro ECU. Will this map work in the T8 providing all of my engine configuration
settings in General Engine settings 1 and 2 are correct?
Cheers
Andy

Yes, the T Series has been designed to ensure that S Series maps can be used.

HI,
new to this community.
I am helping a Friend who has bought a T2 for use on a SLK230 for racing purpose.
Just getting familiar with this Ecu.
Liked the onboard wideband controller, however I have the feeling the software isn't able to use it yet?
Or am i missing something?
I can only select external controlled types
using v1.22 beta

Hi Bart

The internal sensor is used by default on that firmware.
Just plug it in, and the ECU will do the rest.

thanks,

Does the engine need to run before it will heat or display values?
