All crank/cam sensors on this are 2 wire magnetic. No voltage applied

Do these engines still use a dizzy based trigger ? or are there proper individual crank and cam sensors ?

Yeah, they're all the earlier engines with the 2 pin sensor fitted unfortunately, you're right, it's just signal and ground on the 2 pin, not sure where I got 5v from.

so do you have the loom or just the sensor? as if it has power it will be split further back in the loom, same as the sensor ground.

Just the sensor, no loom to work from.

does it have a flat plastic base for the trigger to go past or does it have a metal pin sticking out the bottom?

Okay, looks like it's the same pinout as the earlier K20 setup, signal on the left, ground centre, and +12v on the right pin, looking into the sensor, in case anyone else needs it.
