I've tested the map on an S40 here. With the current dwell settings, the coils never went above 35 degrees. I upped the dwell to 3000us, and the coils went up to about 50 degrees. The higher the revs, the higher the temperature.

There's nothing wrong with the map. You've either got a wiring problem, or a faulty coil.

Because mine where directly damaged after receiving the warning.. Only tried to start 2 - 3 times
If you mix up the settings, you will damage the coils pretty much straight away. I've done it on my test bench, and just turning on the power supply, you can hear the current draw immediately.

Sorry for my late reply, i work offshore so i can't continue with the DTA for now.

I used the the same Ford coil as on the picture.

The car already went to the DTA experienced dyno tuner.
There they even fitted another Coilpack and directly wired to the ecu.
After a few days of testing and trying they gave up and now the car is back to me.

As i'm experienced with electronics/schematics and engines, i was pretty sure everything was installed properly.

Next week i'm probably back home and will continue with this project.

Did the tuner also tested another s40 unit??
Maybe a problem with the ecu. Because your map is working on the test ecu @dta

I don't think they had another S40 unit to test on.

Well, problem solved

I couldn't figure out what the problem was.
So i decided to control the coil driver temperature my way.
Added a heatsink and a silent cooler fan.

Must say, the 4A-GZE went to the dyno and the tuner was surprised with this solution and how stable the temperature was. It went down from 116+℃ to +/- 60℃ and the engine runs great, producing 190bhp with the DTA.
