Stack ST200 Tacho with S40

Hi will the S40 tacho output work with a Stack ST200 tacho, i cant get mine to work but not sure if its a faulty tacho (second hand unit) or if the S40 wont work it?

Details of engine/ignition setup ?

And presumably you have wiring instructions/info for the Stack ?

Instructions seem to indicate it 'preferences' a coil neg. connection although does list MSD tach output so it is possible the DTA square wave output would need conditioning to replicate a coil connection...............................or its broken LOL!

Or just connect to a coil negative.

Again...need details of engine/ignition setup and wiring info for the dash

Engine ST170 (rwd) throttle bodies, standard crank sensor and coil pack, no cam sensor, s40 ecu.

Stack wiring Red wire +12v
Black wire -ve
Blue wire to one terminal of the calibration switch and then to earth through other side of the switch

And is the coil pack inductive or does it have it's own internal amp ?

Really not sure, any idea how i can find out? done google and its not come up with anything. Its the standard ST170 coil pack.?

Upload your map ?

Is external amps checked or unchecked on general engine settings ?

Its running on the start up map that is on dtawin still finising car off prior to mapping. Map is unchanged by me at all if that helps
