Hi all,
Will this work as a crank sensor for the VR input on an S40?

Think it may work a bit easier for mounting in my application than the specific car based ones.
Thanks,
George

I don't see why not, I think you may have to check the tip size as I think it needs to be smaller than the teeth on the trigger wheel

Only way to find out for sure is to try it.
Although I do find the simplicity and reliability of the commonly used Ford sensor hard to beat.

Didn't know about the tip size, should be alright, my trigger wheel has pretty big teethRob Stevens wrote:I don't see why not, I think you may have to check the tip size as I think it needs to be smaller than the teeth on the trigger wheel
Yeah maybe that is the best way, cheaper, proven and easier to get hold of. I can probably put up with making a more difficult bracket for that.stevieturbo wrote:Only way to find out for sure is to try it.
