Hi
I'm using a S80 on my rally car and I'm now going to upgrade to traction and launch control. I'm going to be using 4 wheel sensors and taking them both of the 12 bolts holding the disc to the bell.
The question I have is, is it ok to take a trigger of the bolt heads or near the disc due to the heat? and secondly, from searching this forum I've seen people recommending the Honeywell gt101 hall effect sensor and also an ebay one (shown in the photo/link below) I like the idea of a threaded sensor like the ebay one. Is anyone using that one and is it reliable?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Best launch/traction wheel sensor
I'm sure there are better quality ones on RS/Farnell etc.
I did use a Cherry brand sensor briefly for a cam sensor, but as it was only briefly, hard to say much about it really in terms of quality etc.
eg, something like this ? Not 100% sure if DTA prefers NPN or PNP. I'm nearly sure the 101 pulls to ground, ie NPN

Or some info here

PNP Hall Effect. NPN won't work.
The one linked above will work fine.

No, I'm going mad, it's NPN, not PNP. Sorry for any confusion.
