Problem with an H Pattern....is differentiating between an upshift and downshift

Only need the down shift. It's a dog box and can't get used to heel and toe braking.

Do you use the clutch on downshifts - if so you could rig up a clutch switch so the blipper knows difference between up and down? As a biker even having dogs on the gears I very rarely just cog down without the clutch and manual blip - just not smooth otherwise!

Exactly my point...with an H pattern the ecu does not know whether you intend to go up/down a gear simple from a typical fore/aft motion.

Some sort of switch either on clutch, brakes etc etc could give some sort of indication that a downshift is more likely than an upshift though
Or also if the throttle was below a certain level, that could also indicate a downshift is more likely.

Throttle blipper is only available on the S100 paddle shift system at the moment.
High on the development list is to make it available on the S80 and S100 based on the gear box pot movement. Aiming to have that done later this year.

Although in this case...most H-patterns wont have a gear position sensor ?

2 things , first your almost alway on the brakes when you chance down and secondly alway off throttle. When up shifting it's only a slight lift.
