Crank and cam sensor on YB

I am installing an S100 on my YB , This is my first time on a cosworth engine.
I purchased a 36-1 trigger wheel, and i am going to leave the original Marelli sensor VR type.

On the cam sensor side, i will also leave this in the distributer body just like oem but i will grind the one of the flags on the shaft. As the marelli uses 2 flags per 720deg.

I know that the crank sensor position is adjustable in the DTA configuration, But is there a best position where it can be installed.
Regarding the cam sensor , should the pulse be just before the missing tooth on the crank?

Thanks and Regards
Warren

Usual CPS position is ideally about 90 degrees BTDC. Regarding cam sensor it really doesn't matter the position just that it flags up somewhere once every 720 degrees.

Thanks for your reply, Katana
Just got my pulley machined now, I was going to use a trigger wheel but my engineer suggested cutting slots in the pulley itself, I agreed since it would shed weight.

Was going to get some wave forms tonight but i discovered that the connection is not a normal serial port, I need an adaptor from 15 to 9 pin dtype.
Couldn't find an old monitor to cut of the lead.

Hi all.
Trying to start this morning. Must have woke up all neighbourhood.
When i checked the oscilloscope . I got either 78 or 258 deg. My strobe is not working on the cop
But it should be 78 deg.
Cam signal as shown on the scope is on the 33 tooth. 35th is the 1st tooth. So the cam is at around 30 deg btdc. So should i input 330deg?
I am not sure if it is on the first 360 or the second cycle. This surely makes a difference. Am i rigth?

I wouldn't worry about the cam sensor for now, just get it started in batch mode
