Oil pressure sensor.
I have a 150psi oil pressure sensor and when the bike is running at idle itll read fine and when I rev it up itll drop oil pressure at least that's what the sensor is telling the ecu, it was at 76psi at idle almost and then around 9 psi at 8k rpm so I'm thinking the sensor is faulty. Anyone ever had this problem

Re: Oil pressure sensor.
sounds like you have the sensor scaling in the software wrong, you need to calibrate the readings from an air line or something else like.

Re: Oil pressure sensor.
What type of sensor is it? VDO style or pressure transducer?

Re: Oil pressure sensor.
It'll be a Chinese jobbie. An equivalent good sensor would be 0.5v to 4.5v to cover the quoted pressure range.
But rather than guessing, get the supplier to give you a spec sheet, or failing that you'll need to DIY calibrate.
They should be a linear output so relatively easy to calibrate.

Re: Oil pressure sensor.
I went into the ecu and just cut the switch in when the bike was off and it read 1235v and 27psi of oil pressure I know that couldn't be right.then when I started it the oil pressure drops

Re: Oil pressure sensor.
you cut the switch in ???? no clue what that means
And it would be impossible for a 5v sensor to read 1235 volts.. like over 1,000 volts ?
It needs calibrated...and maybe wired correctly.

Cut the switch on I mean sorry, and its wired correctly, I believe my sensor is going bad it's a cheap one anyway

Re: Oil pressure sensor.
Ok just read it, but in order to scale it correctly dont I need to put an oil pressure gauge on it to see where the oil pressure is at that given voltage for the oil pressure sensor?
