good night, this is your engine flywheel, at least the number of teeth it brings from the factory. for a flywheel turn, 1 space, double tooth, then 19 teeth, 1 space, double tooth, then 19 teeth. for 1 crankshaft only.

It is recognized as a RENIX pulse.

I recommend using an external wheel, or changing the flywheel for a specific 60-2 pulse for competition, or for the original pulse of a f4r clio engine that is something like that 60-1 plus double teeth. in both the configuration would be 60-2.

in principle dta does not have to recognize the pulse as good, it will not synchronize,
Alex says if there is any possibility of use.

Thanks Jon.

If you want to keep the RENIX crank trigger, you will have to add a cam sensor.
The only other option as Jon says is to use an external trigger.

I am using a Megane flywheel same as Clio 172? So this should be 60-2?

I have checked wiring and all seems fine,is it possible to have a bad ecu giving this issue?

I have just checked my flywheel and it’s not 60-2

It is similar to what Jon showed in his first image but only has the 1 double tooth and then 1 missing, so is 36-double-then 1 missing

Does this make any sense to anyone?
Thanks in advance :D

Megane/Clio is 60-2, so you'll be fine once the signal is cleaned up.

So after doing some digging my flywheel is from an f4r so 60-1 with double tooth.

How can I check to see if the ecu is bad?

The ECU is not bad, as it's reading and displaying the crank data.
The oscilloscope simply shows what signal the ECU is receiving from the crank sensor.

As you have a different flywheel,. check the gap between the sensor and the crank trigger. If that's to close or too far, it won't work.
If you're using the original RENIX sensor, it may not be suitable for a 60 tooth trigger, as the original only had 48.

Thanks Alex I think I am using the f7r sensor but will double check. I might be using an f7p bell housing so maybe this is very slightly different??

Good to know ecu not bad as bought it secondhand 4yrs ago and this is first time using it!
