Spartan 2 on E48

Post by cedturbo »

Hello Everybody,

I would like to connect a Spartan 2 OEM to my DTA E48.

The Spartan can go from 10 to 20 AFR but the E48 can only see from 8 to 16.

The easier solution is to limit the input from 0 to 3000mV on the E48 (10 to 16 AFR) but I loose 2V of resolution.

I saw that in my other car with a S60, it is possible to adjust perfectly to this Spartan.

Now, my question is: what is the resolution of the Analog converter of this E48 ?
Maybe, I can install a circuit to made a conversion ?

Thanks for your help.

Best Regards

I'm not sure if the E48 only has a 1.1v headroom? May depend on the hardware version, My P8 was restricted to 1.1v in the native input.

You may want to test what the E48 can read before going too far?

can you programme the Spartan to output what you want like many WB controllers?

The E48 can read 0 to 5000mV.
Before the Spartan, I used a TechEdge with LSU 4.2 but I have a poor output signal.
I had this new Spartan in my stock and it uses the LSU 4.9 (faster).
The Tech Edge has an output 0 to 5V (9.4 to 16 AFR). see the PDF

Ok well just use the range you can then and accept the loss of resolution, I can't see much point personally in trying to make some sort of voltage increaser as you would only get 1/2 the benefit you are looking for as the spartan can't do <10 any way

Yes, you are right.
I changed the spreadsheet from 14point7 to adjust to my E48.
I share it, maybe it can help somebody.
