Wide Band Lambda Controllers

Post by MSEL »

What are you using as a wide band lambda controller?

I have had terrible experiences with the Innovate LC-1 product with both the product and the warranty support offered by one of the official distributors in our country.

We use the Motec PLM inhouse but these are too expensive to recommend to a customer - after all they cost the same as an ECU. ;)

What other brands have you used and had good success with?

Regards.

I use the Zeitronix system.
The ZT-2, it uses a bosch lambda sonde and there are since firmware v5x presets in the dta software.

Works great for me.

I've used a PLX wideband for a number of years, it also uses a bosch sensor. Worked perfectly for me, the newer units look even better.

I use an AIM LCU-ONE, this uses a Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor.
The main reason for using this one is that it is far more water resistant than others | have looked at.
The retail price of this is £275 but you can get them cheaper if you shop around.

Innovate LC1 but it chews through sensors reasonably often, I don't recommend it either.

Really happy with my NGK AFX unit. Has a display built into the box and can use both the standard cheap Bosch sensors ($80 - $100 USD) as well as the more expensive NTK sensors. The nice thing about that is that the NTK sensors are compatible with leaded fuel.

x2 for PLX. Just unbox it, plug it in and off you go.

My dyno guy also uses a Motec PLM and the PLX devices matches it exactly. My LC-1 was miles off.

I've used PLX products (several units in different cars) and been happy.

Would probably go for the NGK myself, although Innovates new MTX is miles better than the old LC-1.
Very good quality piece of kit, for a very bargain price !

Although Ive been using an FJO Wideband in my own car since 2001, and still going strong.

Hello,

I have a S60PRO. I want to connect a Innovate LC-1 wideband controller. Like to operate it in wideband mode, does anybody know how to wire it to the S60 ? The manual says how to connect a Narrow Sensor, but I can't find out if I need more wires for wideband mode.

Thanks,
Joost
