Which 4 bar MAP sensor to get?

Post by Airspeed »

Hi,

I noticed in the ecu 'sensor calibration' list of my S60 (V53) that there is only one 4 bar MAP sensor listed: Bosch 0281 002 316. Can't find where to get one online though.
Currently I run the GM 3bar one.
Any other options with exact scaling instructions?
Links?

Thanks,
Walter

Says GM 4Bar added in V62: http://www.dtafast.co.uk/news/news1.htm#V62

It appears easier to find on a quick google search, so maybe updating to latest firmware and using one of those is a better option.

Thanks,

I have however never been good at updating firmware. I really woudn't know what to do...
I fear the Bosch 4 bar MAP sensors are pretty expensive though, will have a search anyways ;-)

Walter. James has one of those bosch sensors. I think it was about £70 but does have the air temp sensor in it as well. the only thing with it is it needs to be mounted to the inlet manifold as its not remote fit.

Cool! Mounting it into/onto the manifold would not be much of a problem.
Tnx Darren! CU at VWAction I hope :)

Cheers for that link Drew!

Did you get the complete calibration with it as well?
As that one isn't a standard item in my V53 S60 list...

Airspeed; even I managed to update my S60 to V63 using a cable with a button I bought here on this forum. Suprisingly enough it did not delete my maps and all in all it was plug`n play.
