Dont know about your VR6, My M3 E92 BMW ones or in fact any current BMW ones wont work. Normal VR ones will work but you need one of those little circuit boards to convert the AC signal into a digital 5v signal.

Ok understood.
Which oem brand sensors work though ?
maybe an idea to put a list together for reference of what works or doesnt work.

Does the same apply for the various car crank triggers ?

If you google "convert vr signal to hall" quite a few options appear

As for a list of what does and doesnt work. Feel free to compile it. It could take a veryyy long time.

Crank and cam signals can accept either mag or hall, but that still wont guarantee compatibility with DTA

The VR6s and BMW E30s, E34s I've owned over the years appear to use very similar Bosch ABS systems and VR sensors, which is handy as those jbperf conditioner boards will work on both of my current projects :P

Gonna order some when the Corrado finally gets it's new engine....

i believe most late model BMW's are using hall sensors.
Our workshop always change the sensors to vr type when using our local management system.
