Idle valve control
Idle valve control
I am looking how to wire the S80 pro on a Opel/Vauxhall x16xe engine. The idle valve on the throttle body is 4 wires while the Dta pro only has one wire for the idle valve. Any suggestion how I am going to connect the idle valve please?
Cheers

Re: Idle valve control
That looks like a stepper motor. DTA can not do stepper motors.

Yep that's a GM stepper.
So nope, can't do it.

All cars are different...."jap" covers a rather wide range of vehicles.....swsupermoto wrote:Are jap cars the same
Re: Idle valve control
you can use a Bosch 3 wire unit, common on VW stuff, or crack the throttle open a bit more and use ignition to control the idle.

Re: Idle valve control
I had a throttle body with one of those, cracked the valve open and manually screwed it in/out till I had the idle where I wanted it instead of opening the throttle more, then used ignition timing based idle. I then (removed it and filled the backside) epoxied the valve in that position. Worked unbelievably well.

How many terminals. If it's 2pin then yes you can control it, likely 3pin Jap (or any) also. The looks like maybe a Toyota 3pin? Which would work.

3 it's a Honda but looks like my Toyota one. Pulled it loose and it's just a magnet with a flag on it.
