i dont want to derail this topic but Alex how can you tell the cps wires are the wrong way round from the software? ive always had to use a real scope!

The extra yellow spike on the trace. Circled on the attached image.

Edit: this was 36-4. Also some errors on diagnostic display for synthetic tooth and rejected crabk pulses

I've changed to 36-2 in settings, no more errors, starts first time and i get this

Interesting. That must be an anomaly of that crank trigger, as the missing teeth aren't missing in the normal way. See attached.

On a scope, it definitely shows as having the missing teeth, this is a scope trace from a Motec on such a car ( running at idle )
I wouldnt chance running the engine at load with the wrong settings and 36-2 or 36-4 can never be right.

36 - 2 is the correct setting for that flywheel mode.
