Unless you're able to program that with DTA's comms protocols/datastreams for CAN....I'm not sure it will be of any use ?

Oh, I naively assumed that nothing would need programming.

Anyone on the forum done this?

Hello,

yes I did for the connection to DTASwin. It is much more faster than standard connection.

I have found a new SYSTEC Can to USB controller here in Germany at Ebay for a really low price. The Systec CAN-software must be installed (USB driver).

The China connector you have posted could word, but I don't know...

DTASwin checks at start, if CAN is connected. An then the software uses CAN connection.

Just use the Forum search function. Type 'systec' an you will find the post.
Here is the link:

Systec is the one we sell and use for our development.

Not tried the other one.

Do these devices need a lot of setting up, software wise. Or are they more plug and play?

Plug and play. You just need the CAN output from the ECU
