Fuel map

Post by SimonR »

Being a complete novice I'm struggling with this ecu stuff so I apologise in advance.

With some help from the forum I managed to get my Honda cbr1100 turbo engine running a few months ago.

The only way I can run it without flooding is to hook the laptop up and on real time mapping lower the injector opening time by 35%, then it runs well enough to move.

How do I transfer this 35% less fuel to the main fuel map? This will make it easier to move the car around before it goes to be mapped properly.

Select all the cells in the fuel map.

Press F5

Choose to change by percentage and enter a value of -35

Hit enter/ok

Press F4 to save changes to the table.

then read the manual :)

You may not need to change the map at all!

You say this is a turbo motor, I can see that you have a map sensor fitted and working, yet there appear to be no fuel corrections active. (this will be shown in blue in dyno mode adjacent to the map reading)

Do the following,
Go to 'essential map settings / manifold pressure compensation / Manifold pressure compensations and check 'use single MAP' press F4

Go to 'essential map settings / manifold pressure compensation / Manifold pressure / Baro pressure compensation and check 'set to standard' press F4

Rob, I think he's just trying to set a base map, and doing it in Real Time Mapping.

Simon, do as Stevie says.

It does look like there are no manifold pressure corrections being applied, so that would help a lot as Rob suggests.

Again always comes back to same thing....the map consists of more than just one or two tables, and all aspects need to be right.

Thanks, runs well enough now without plugging it in.
Looking forward to getting it mapped properly
