Re: Sensorgap?
depends on sensor and diameter of wheel etc.
Havent a clue what the gap tooth factor is !

Re: Sensorgap?
Depends on the runout on the toothed wheel as you want it as close as possible whilst not getting clouted if high rpm runout increases. I'd say between 0.4 - 0.75mm would work but less is generally better.

Re: Sensorgap?
Start with a gap tooth factor of 2000.
As above, roughly 0.5mm to 1mm should work fine, depending on the size of the flywheel.

Okay thanks for answers.. my trigger ring is 270mm cross over and the sensor is 290ohm magnetic ford fiesta 40mm long shaft.
I dont know if the sensor info helps any..

Re: Sensorgap?
If you mean the diameter is 270mm, you'll need a bigger gap between the trigger and the sensor, probably between 1mm and 2mm.

I tried whit 1.6mm gap an couldent garther ociloscope whit the starter motor..i had to run the engine on idle to get any data.. on the starermotor i only get a message that said unknown flywheel in red color..

Re: Sensorgap?
If the engine runs fine....what are you trying to achieve ?
if it starts and runs ok...then the trigger setup should be fine.
Are you having a problem of some sort or does it run ok ?

Unknown Flywheel message is normal.Andreas Norway wrote:I tried whit 1.6mm gap an couldent garther ociloscope whit the starter motor..i had to run the engine on idle to get any data.. on the starermotor i only get a message that said unknown flywheel in red color..
As stevieturbo says, does the engine run?

Re: Sensorgap?
Its pulsing on idle and stopt sometimes so i adjusted the sensorgap down to 0.8 mm and now all is fine.
Also the ecu made adjustments on its own on the rpm colums ant tps colums.. could that be bad battery att start? Did take a look at diagnotics an saw that the volt has been all the way down to 5.4 volt..
